Natural gas:

August natural gas advanced 9.8 cents on volume of 318,166 contracts. Total open interest increased by 2,887 contracts, which relative to volume is approximately 50% below average. The July contract accounted for a loss of 5,568 of open interest. As this report is being compiled on June 27, the August contract is trading 1.9 cents higher on the day on low volume.

The August contract is getting close to generating a short-term buy signal and this will occur if the daily low is above OIA’s key pivot point of $3.047.

Gold:

August gold lost $10.00 volume of 235,695 contracts. Total open interest increased by only 214 contracts. Yesterday, the August contract made a low of 1236.50 and as his report is being compiled on June 27, the August contract is trading nearly unchanged on the day. Remarkably the dollar Index trading sharply lower and this is not giving gold a bid. Gold should be entering its period of seasonal strength during the next couple of months as the Indian wedding season approaches. Stand aside. The August contract remains on short and intermediate term sell signals.

Dollar Index:

The September dollar Index will generate a short-term sell signal tomorrow provided the daily high is below OIA’s key pivot point for June 27 of 96.753. On June 20, the September dollar index generated a short term sell signal. It remains on an intermediate sell signal.

Euro:

The September euro will generate a short term buy signal in tomorrow’s trading. It continues to be on an intermediate term buy signal. Currently, the September contract is trading 136 pips above yesterday’s close and has made a daily high of 1.1386, which is the highest print since 1.1380 made during the week of August 15, 2016.

10 year U.S. Treasury Note:

The September 10 year note will generate a short-term sell signal in tomorrow’s trading if the daily high is below OIA’s key pivot point for June 27 of 126-148. The September contract is trading sharply lower on June 27 and the equity market is trading weakly as well with the Nasdaq 100 losing 54 points.
